Residential Earthwork Services for Hire
Construction-Based or Stand-Alone
Clean fill regularly available in the Macedon Ranges area.
We used to out-source most of our earth moving services As we needed thEM,
but over the last few years as our needs grew, so did our own earth moving operations.
Our Services
We now complete all earthworks required for our home builds. We operate high quality machines needed to get different jobs done, and now we also offer earthworks as a stand-alone service.
Site cuts.
Retaining walls.
Structural landscaping.
Site cleans (tidying up, getting rid of the piles of dirt left after a slab has been poured).
Underground Services (to get power to a house or shed, we can dig a trench so electricians or whoever needs to can get access to it).
Engineered Footings (for certain types of retaining walls, over a certain height they need to be engineered, and if they're engineered they tend to be more complex excavations due to the nature of the engineer.
Spoon Drains (new drains, drains cleaned, and drains reshaped).
Concrete Slab Preparation.
Irrigation Fields (for septic tanks)

Kenworth T359 Heavy Rigid Tipper.

Our Operator
The operator of all our machines is Mitchell Layton. He runs the Earthworks side of things at Layton Homes.
A bit about Mitch:
He started off with Layton Homes as an apprentice way back when he was in high school. He became a fully qualified carpenter and worked a few years before transitioning into earth moving. He's now been working on the machines for over 4 years.
This background means he understands the requirements of a site cut for a home build, with a holistic view and forward-thinking approach.
Mitch has a high standard when it comes to the quality of work that goes into any job. His attention to detail and care for quality mean that every job he completes will result in the best possible outcome.
Mitch has experience on a range of different earthworks. Rather than some earthmovers who complete routine, small, simple jobs, Mitch has plenty of experience on more complicated projects. Often the type of work we complete means the site cuts are large jobs, multi-levelled with batters (sloping edges) which are much more involved than standard site cuts.
want to make better use of a sloped backyard? Need a retaining wall? Just need to get rid of some dirt?
Whatever your residential earth-related needs, our quality-focused services are available to get the job done!
